About Me
Anna Patton is the founder of Root + Rise People Strategy, a consulting firm dedicated to helping startups build strong people foundations and scale with intention. Her career began in a recruitment agency working with fast-growing Silicon Valley startups, where she developed a deep understanding of what early-stage companies need to hire and grow effectively from the ground up.

With over nine years of experience in HR, talent acquisition, and people operations—especially within dynamic, early-stage environments—Anna brings a rare blend of strategic clarity, operational expertise, and people-first leadership.

Before launching Root + Rise, she served as Head of Talent and Employee Experience at a Seattle-based digital marketing agency, where she built HR systems from scratch—leading full-cycle recruiting, implementing onboarding frameworks, and driving employee engagement across a rapidly scaling team. She has a proven track record of creating scalable processes that balance culture, compliance, and business needs.

Anna holds a master’s degree in HR Data Analytics and Management from American University, where she focused on applying data and intercultural communication to modern workforce challenges. Her approach blends empathy with analytics, helping startups design inclusive, outcome-driven HR and talent strategies that support long-term growth.
